20 days to go

Today we went to shop for a LCD TV. We saw some at Future Shop, Vision and finally, costco. Picked one up for $900. at Costco (27 inches) however when we got home, I set it up and we were very disappointed by the screen. Everyone on it seems to be squashed. Watched it for a while longer but I think it will go back for a refund! We also purchased a smaller TV with a build-in DVD player for the bedroom...guess Val is finally getting her wish after all!!?????

We also met the purchaser of our house today. A very nice fellow. Showed him around and he seemed impressed with the place which is good considering he bought sight unseen!?

Took more stuff to the local second hand store and also took the TV and a cabinet down to Kamloops to a co-worker of Val which was sold to her.

Since the 6th, it's been much of the same. More packing and organizing. Friday, Val was home so we went through everything and decided what we wanted to keep and what was to be sold or thrown out. Man, what a job but what a feeling of relief. This "clean-up" should have done ages ago. We have so far packed andgiven away 4 big bags of clothing, shoes and boots to the local charity. Amazing how much clothing we had and never or seldom used.

Incidentally, I am getting to like doing this blog. It will definitely be interesting to look back a year or two down the road and see what we did on a particular day.

For historical purposes, I have 3 log book that I have kept over the years. It all began when I was sailing and a log was obligatory. When I bought the first motorhome, I kept it up ( logging that is) and now it is kind of fun to do it on a regular basis and particularly being able to share with friends and family.
