Mar 16 to 25

The last supper! Where have they all gone!?

The Holder's left this a.m., March 25th, with their friends Kim and Tim (very nice people). So here we are all by ourselves. The last of the crew, our job is to turn out the lights and put the fireplace away. We got the honor of giving them the "Canadian Salute" as they left the park. Kim and Tim were shocked! AHAHAHAHAHA! Anyway, things sure looks empty now.

So back to normal routine for us. Wrote a few e-mail today then went to town to get more cerveza and return bottles.

Last evening, Mar 24, we all went to Charly's Rock for dinner and watch the last sunset for those leaving tomorrow. Had a few laughs and reminisced over the last 3 months. Sure has gone fast. The day started with breakfast at IVY's then went kayaking and suntan at Esmarilda Beach. Kim and Tim tried out our kayak and those of the Holder's.
John and Marlene (canadians who are buying here) joined us for dinner at Charly's Rock.

March 22 began sunny and warm. Took Val to the doctor as her arm is really sore. Bad enough to make her cry and keep her awake at night. Found out that she has tendonidis. Gave her a prescription for pain killer and anti-inflamatory (400 pesos, $40.) Doctor was 483 pesos ($49)

She's happy now!

On March 19 we went to Catch 22 Beach for some sun but didn't stay long as the wind became quite strong. Carol and Miff left this morning. That leaves the Holder's, Kim and Tim and us.

On March 20 we had "Pozole" for dinner. Kim cooked Teh dish consist of carneta (pork), hominy (corn beans), and chili cooked in a broth. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!

5 new rigs came in today. All from Quebec from Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

On March 16th, we all went to golf (Kim, Tim, Steve, Linda and us) then we had our annual St-Patrick dinner consisting of corn beef, potatoes, carrots and cabbage, Irish soda bread and salad....Delicious! Thanks Linda for such a wonderful meal! For desert, we had Tres Lacha Cake...to die for!

Sat by the fire to end the evening.....Life is good indeed!

March 9 to 15th

This has been a very strange winter re: weather. It's been unusually windy and cool the last few days. We get the clouds coming in and it looks like we will get rain then it clears up. The winds have been very strong. Even heard that L.A. got snow and that trucks have been flipped over in the Mojave desert. CRAZY!

Everyone has left now except Steve and Linda and their friends Kim and Tim. The Johnson left on Monday the 13th and the Kirbby's on Tuesday, the 14th. We went to Charly's Rock to say g'bye to them.

On Saturday the 11th, we had our annual fish cook-out and Steve and Linda's friends, Kim and Tim, from California arrived today. The cook-out was a success of course.

Winding down now. The park is getting emptier by the day. We are still getting some people from the south but they are only here for a day or two then head out.

Miff and carol are leaving this coming Sunday and the Holder's will be leaving with their friends on the 26th then we will definitely be "alone". It is cloudy again and cool. Only 78F ( 24C)

Today, Steve and Linda went to Guaymas as Steve has a dentist appointment. Val just got home from her exercise and the day

Poor Tucker, he's feeling the pinch too. Only got one friend left....Ruby, a black lab belonging to Steve and Linda.

Feb 24 to March 8, 2006

Hi again, it's been somewhat stormy here the last two weeks. We've been hit by some heavy winds. ITs' also been cloudy a lot with threats of rain but to no avail. I took and posted some pictures of places we go in our daily life of living here as per a request from my sister Therese. So check them out!

Feb 24 started as a sunny day. It is also Cathy birthday so Linda cooked a chocolat cake. It was a windy day today.

Feb 25 saw us going for a bike ride to town where we had a hot dog and cerveza then onward to the bank to get more pesos.

On the 26th, Sunday, I went golfing with the boys and the girls (Cathy, Val and Linda) went kayaking for the day.

Feb 27th turned out to be a very hot day!! It went to the upper 80's ( 25C) We all went out to Toro's for dinner tonight as Fred and Dorothy are leaving tomorrow. It was an excellent dinner. I tried out a dish call mortar beef which came in a very hot clay bowl with a boiling broth, beef, onions and cactus. It was delicious. It also had other vegetables. A humongous meal which could have been enough for two people.

Feb 28th was another hot day. even hotter than yesterday. Fred and Do left at 8 a.m. Val went to the doctor about her hand. It hurts a lot from the fall.

March first....Another new month! Time is flying by. Very windy today and in the low 90's another sandstorm blew over us. It seems we just get evrrything dusted and more sand/dust lays down. Joys of living in the desert, I guess!? Lee and Jacquie left this morning.

March 2...Trish and Sandy left this morning. The gang is depleting fast. Val, Linda and Cathy went to Guaymas shopping. I made sure that Val left her wallet here with all the credit cards!!! ahahahahahah!

March 4th was Valerie Birthday! Happy Birthday Sweety! Went to "Joey's" for dinner. Unfortunately, I forgot the camera. We watched the sunset with a Pina Colada then on to dinner. It was very good. Came home and sat by the fire.

March 5th was my Birthday. IT started at 6:30 a.m. with a fishing trip where Lynden caught two but neither did Steve or I. Hot daog and beer for lunch and then out to Toro's for dinner as it is also our last meal with Al and Brenda as they are leaving tomorrow. Brenda had made arrangement with the waiters for my birthday so all of sundden, all the lights went out, in came the waiters dressed in cape and a big garbage bag full of balloon and confetti and they sang "Happy Birthday" then broke the bag on my head when all the balloons and confetti came out. It was a total surprise and a lot of fun. Considering I didn't want anything!!!!

March 6...Al and Brenda left at 8 a.m. this morning. Had the truck washed in and out. Very hot today again Mid 90's

March 8th was cloudy and cooler. Also very windy again. A trasnformer blew in the park with a big bang! We were out of power for most of the day. The park is getting emptier by the day. Pretty soon we will be the only ones left here!?????

Added more pictures so check them out
