We went full-time Rving in October of 2005! We retired from full time to part-time as of the end of 2015. Our present "small but comfortable" Wagon is a 2008 Camper trailer(TravelAir Rustler), pulled by a 2008 Dodge Dakota, 4X4.l. Our home is now a Gated Community Park, in Oliver, British-Columbia, Canada. I retired in 2005 and my Life Companion, Valerie, retired October 1, 2006 from nursing. We invite you to follow and share our new adventures and mishaps. Life is but an adventure full of dreams yet to be fulfilled!

September 1 to 4, 2006 New 5th-Wheel

SEPT 1, Tuesday, to Kamloops to pick our new home
We left Gateway around 8:30 a.m for Thompson RV in Kamloops, approx 55 km from here. We stopped for breakfast then continued on to finalize our new purchase. After signing our life’s away and our bank accounts, we began transferring all our stuff over to our new 2008 Silverback 33, by Forest River. It took us the whole day to move all our stuff over. They placed the rigs side by side with the doors facing each other and provided us a board to place between each door so that we could transfer our stuff easily and without having to go up and down on the steps. We finally left around 6 p.m. and it began to rain. We stopped for dinner in Chase then went home, parked and began the process of placing everything in its rightful place. The clothes hanger in the closet fell down, just like it did when we purchased the Quantum. I hope this is NOT a sign of things to come...but let’s keep positive here!!! We went to bed early, very tired.

SEPT. 2, Wednesday, setting up
Val was called to work so I went away putting some stuff away and putting brackets up, setting up the TV and other things. When Val got home, we had dinner then went over to John and Marlene for a drink as they are leaving tomorrow. We came home and watched an episode of Shield then it was bed time

SEPT. 3, Thursday, back to Kamloops
Val had a doctor’s appointment and I took the rig back to South Thompson to get the hitch for the bikes put on and get the closet clothes hanger fix. They also fixed a couple of other little things that we had noticed. They are providing us with excellent service and are being very friendly with us; mind you this is the second time we deal with these guys and we know them well too. I drove back home and set up again then we had our first dinner in this rig.

SEPT 4, Friday, Gateway
In front of the trailer there is a bear so Val decided to baptize our rig “THE BEAR”. We continued setting up and sorting some stuff for storage or give away. I helped move Ron and Theresa’s rig to Salmon Arm as they don’t have a truck and they have some work to get done on it; came back home two hours later.
We went for dinner at the pub tonight, compliment of Ron and Theresa.
