June 14 to 28.

Christina Lake
Altitude:1658 ft; N.49,02' W.118,13'
Mileage 387 km, 83 l fuel

We are sitting at an internet cafe in Christina Lake trying to bring this site up to date. I couldn't connect at the camp site so came here and the best thing, it's free.
This is a small resort with the warmest lake in BC. The population is small but almost double and triple in the summer. Located in a valley surrounded by mountains, there is a lot to do such as swimming cycling the Kettle Valley trail and the transcanada trail which runs just behing our site. We are having a good relaxing time.

Yesterday the 27th, we went to Midway to meet our friends Brenda and Al. It was a marvellous day and a great supper on top of that. The wine and beer made us even jollier!!!! It is about an hour away East of here on Hwy 3. The road is excellent as they have done a lot of work on it.

June 26th Monday!

We left our site at 8:50 a.m. Felt strange being on the move again. Took Hwy 1 to 97a then south to Vernon where we stopped to look at tables and coffee pots (ours is on the fritz) There were none so carried on to Kelowna where we found everthing we needed.
From here we took Hwy 33 south to Rock Creek then East on Hwy 3 to Christina Lake. Hwy 33 has a fairly step climb to the summit (4000 ft) but it was a lovely drive. Stopped for lunch at this road side rest area and Tucker had a great time sniffing everything and even got a drink from the small creek nearby. It was 99 degrees F outside in the shade ( 35 C) Even hotter in Midway. Thank goodness for A/C

June 25th, Sunday

Got everything loaded and what we are not taking with us, packed away in the shed. Our friends around our site came over for happy hour and gave us a good send-off! Donna (Val ex-boss) and her husband Marcel dropped by for a few beers. It was very nice.

June 14 to 24,
Nothing to report on those days. Basically just doing last minute things and making sure all is in order.

From here, we are going to Lethbridge, Alberta so will keep you posted. We are leaving on July 2.
Downloaded some pictures in our other site. See link on the right
