September 1 to 7, 2008, St-Cyr Saga

SEPT. 1, Monday, Labor Day

Not much happened this day. Just enjoyed the day with Gilles and his family. Also my sister Christiane came over to spent the afternoon with us all. We left with our rig around 7 p.m. and stayed at a truck stop near St-Cyr RV so we can get the balance of our warranty work done.

SEPT. 2, Tuesday, @ At-Cyr

Dropped off the trailer at St-Cyr and drove to my sister Therese and her husband Michel's place where we will be staying for the next 3-4 days

SEPT. 3, Wednesday, Cycling

We went cycling today to St-Helene Island. I had never been there and it was marvellous. This is where the Montreal Casino is situated. A huge building with 7 stories of nothing but gambling machines. ( YOU REALLY MISSED OUT TERRY and GLENDA!!)
There was a neat little pond with weeping willows where we had lunch. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We also cycled the Formula One race track which was kind of neat.
In the evening, My little brother, Johnny and his friend, Ginette came over for a visit. We sat by the fire.

SEPT. 4, Thursday, shopping day for Val

Val, Therese and Ginette spent the whole day shopping! They had fun. I took Tucker in for a haircut then checked with St-Cyr. They say everything will be ready on time. Michel and I met the ladies at Ginette's place where we heard about their day then had dinner.
It was a very hot day today. Upper 30's

SEPT. 5, Friday, Disaster strikes again

We packed and were just about to leave when we got a call from friends we had met in Florida 2 years ago so, after saying good-bye to Therese, we drove to their place which was only 10 minutes from here. We spent a couple hours with them catching up to new and old news then drove to St-Cyr to pick up our rig.
This rig has been the most frustrating experience I've ever had and the worst is that no one seems to care. We got to St-Cyr and were told that the fan was not exchange as the new one they got was noisier than the one which is in there so they took the cover off and oil it good and they say it's not noisy...Will see!!? We took an inspection of the work done and found that most everything had been done but when they replaced the sink, they never caulked (silicone) around the outside edge of the sink. So I had them do that. Then I went to hook up the truck but couldn't raise the landing gear. The motor was being stopped by the rotating lever and the housing was really loose. So....back to the office and a tech came out, couldn't see exactly what was wrong, determined that it had to be taken apart so back in the shop it went...YES YOU GUESSED IT! IT"S FRIDAY! and late in the afternoon so no work will be done today. When I complained as to why it wasn't checked BEFORE I was told that it had. WHAT A CROCK!!!!

So nothing we can do now. Back to Therese we go!

SEPT. 6 & 7, Sat., Sunday

Therese and Michel had already made plans to visit his brother at his cottage so they left us the house. We met my brother Pierre in Longueuil and had a few drinks and also met his friend, Mona.
It rained Saturday and cloudy Sunday. Therese and Michel came home later in the afternoon (Sunday). We cooked dinner for them then my brother Andre and his girlfriend, Claudette, called to say he was coming over so we all had dinner together and a nice visit. It took my mind off Fleetwood and St-Cyr RV.

I had a lousy sleepless night fretting over this whole issue. I really don't know what to do. It is so frustrating! Did write an e-mail to Fran at Fleetwood
