Our home is now a Gated Community Park, in Oliver, British-Columbia, Canada. I retired in 2005 and my Life Companion, Valerie, retired October 1, 2006 from nursing. Alaska preparation

May 9, 2019, 37 days to go!
I took the truck in to have it check out and all is in good shape.  I bought some shock extender and had those install.  So far so good.  We went to Chase to visit our friend Jack and Mim and they gave us their 2018 copy of "MILEPOST" so have been reading that and planning our trip.  The trailer is going in next week to have it checked out, install scissor jacks (2) and install bracket for a tv.  It's a busy time and I am loving it.  I feel revitalized!😅

May 25, Saturday: 21 days to go!

These past couple weeks, I had some maintenance done on the trailer and the truck.  First I had installed new suspension block to enhance the shocks and springs.  It acts like air bags but without air and it's suppose to improved the stability of the truck and trailer while going through curves.
I then took the trailer to a local shop where I had the suspension checked (all good), had the wheel bearings services, installed a new TV wall mount for our new 24” TV.  I also bought 4 new tires for the trailer and had those installed.  The trailer is de-winterized and ready to go
So now we are awaiting the departure date of June 15.  I am getting excited.  Oh yea, we are shopping for medical insurance but it is bloody expensive even for just one month in Alaska.
