July 1 to 15, visits and repairs

Well, finally getting a chance to catch up to this blog. It's been a busy time so I will make a quick summary. We had a great visit with my son Jeffrey and his friend Crystal. They went and spent 4 days with his aunt Therese in Longueuil and we took them to the airport on Sunday the 6Th for their return trip. That morning, we went to "old Montreal", the historic part of the city where we had brunch then walked a couple streets and did some shopping.
The previous day, Saturday the 5Th, we dropped off the rig at St-Cyr RV and spent the week at my sister. We did some shopping and went cycling. Also cooled off in their swimming pool. I think though that she was glad when we left on Monday and she finally had her house back.
We picked up the rig on Monday the 14Th and took it to Vaillancourt RV to get the suspension fixed. There were no problems with that part of it but it was another story at St-Cyr RV. They screwed up the ordering of the parts and instead of ordering a bracket for the motor, they ordered the motor even though I had told them twice that it was the bracket. They also didn't order the fan so now we have to go back again. The sink in the bathroom is also on back-order. What a nightmare...it's really getting depressing. When we got home, we found the cupboard in the laundry room had opened and half the content found its way onto the floor. They didn't latch the cupboard properly. How frustrating. I also found that they didn't replace the cupboard door latched but attempted to repair it so it still doesn't close properly. They also damaged the panel near the cupboard and tried to cover up. Another job to re-do.
We came home on Monday night and spent the night in Wal-mart parking lot as it was late. The following day, Tuesday the 15Th, we took the rig to Gougeon Repair shop as I needed a new tire. There was a big bulge on the side wall and I figure it is because of the incident with the suspension. I sent an e-mail to Fleetwood requesting a reimbursement for the cost of the tire. Remains to see what happens. So....from here we went back to Gilles' place and parked. Spent the rest of the day setting up. Discovered that the post by the entrance way also stressed and came apart at the top. I wrote to Fleetwood and they will pay to have it repair. We are now over our Warranty period.
