June 1 to 5, 2007

JUNE 1, Friday, sunny

Another sunny day and warm too. Relaxing day with not much happening during the day. At 6 p.m. we went to High Road Academy for Graeme's presentation. This is a pre-grad stage where awards were awarded to those who earned it in grade 12. There was also a couple of skits put on by the graduates which were excellent. They were all dressed up in tuxedo and gowns and everyone looked beautiful. Graeme arrived in the customary limo with a few of his friends from grade 12. He was very handsome if I may so myself.
The girls, Hayley and Vanessa, were also very proud of their big brother.
They also had a big spread with excellent food....I don't think anyone went hungry. Got home around 10:30.

JUNE 2, Saturday, sunny

Took Hayley for lunch as we had promised for her birthday past. Afterwards, we came back to Camperland then headed up to the mountain to 2400 feet up this forestry road and 4 wheel-drive to a launch pad for para-gliders. It was neat to watch them launch themselves from this height. They land below, near Camperland and the golf course.
Came back to our camp and had a fire. I feel really morose and left out. Not sure if these feelings are warranted!?

JUNE 3, Sunday, sunny and hot

Another nice day and very hot again. Got ready for Graeme's ceremony and went to Doreen for a drink of wine before heading to the school.
The graduates came in a single file and took their places on the stage. A few speeches were given, a prayer was said and a singing group sang a African song from a trip that some had taken to Africa.
At last the ceremony began where all the students were handed their graduating certificate. Graeme looked very handsome in his graduating frock and hat. He also looked very happy and proud, so were we all!

We came back to Rochelle and Kevin's house afterwards and had a few finger food. Approx 20-25 people showed up along with two other graduates, close friends of Graeme. It was fun and Rochelle did an excellent job. Came home at midnight.
IT IS RAINING!!!

JUNE 4-5, Monday and Tuesday

Overcast this morning. We took a drive back up to the launching pad where I finally put Jessica ( my belated wife) and her brother's ashes to rest. I stood on a big rock overlooking the whole valley of Chilliwack and spread their ashes to the wind. I admit that I was very emotional and didn't hold back. After spreading the ashes, I spread all the flowers that were given to me at her death and spread those too. Afterwards, I hid the vase that contained her ashes under a crevice under the rock and wished her goodbye and a good journey.
I think she will like this location. There is sportive people around, it's in the mountains as she wished and overlooks the valley. She is also with her brother. REST IN PEACE, MY LOVE!!

Val was very supportive and stood by me...thank you! She is a wonderful woman!

Today Tuesday, we are just relaxing....it's raining

Une cérémonie bien touchante Claude. Jessica repose en paix maintenant et avec son frère. Quel beau geste tu as fait là.
