We went full-time Rving in October of 2005! We retired from full time to part-time as of the end of 2015. Our present "small but comfortable" Wagon is a 2008 Camper trailer(TravelAir Rustler), pulled by a 2008 Dodge Dakota, 4X4.l. Our home is now a Gated Community Park, in Oliver, British-Columbia, Canada. I retired in 2005 and my Life Companion, Valerie, retired October 1, 2006 from nursing. We invite you to follow and share our new adventures and mishaps. Life is but an adventure full of dreams yet to be fulfilled!

January 2 to 5, 2007

JANUARY 2, Tuesday, Cloudy/rain

Got up at 6 a.m. and left the house at 7:30, headed for SPS Diesel shop to get the Jake and the Throttle fix. 6 1/2 hours later and $640 poorer, I headed home with a new throttle assembly and a new relay for the jake. WOW! 255. for labor, 85 for tax and the rest was parts. Bloody expensive. Also found out that the seals on the turbo need replacing soon as they are leaking. Got home at 4 p.m., loaded the bikes and the kayaks and got ready to leave tomorrow.
Time for supper and relaxation.

JANUARY 3, Wednesday, Clouds/sun

Left our site by 8:30 and headed for Conley RV to get another opinion on the trailer's suspension. After an exam, they also recomment to lift the bracket by 2 inches. This means a job of about 10-14 hours. They called our insurance to see if they will cover it. Now we wait. this is going to be an expensive jobs.
From here, we went directly to Wachula to our site at Thousand Trail Resort Park. These 5 days will be free (we need free stuff) through "Resort of Distinction". We are here until the 10th.
We followed Hwy 41 south to Bradenton to Conley then onward to Hwy 64 East, north on hwy17 to our site. A grand total of 140 km,
