I finished the shelves in the shed and organized everything so that it is easy to find. Took some stuff to the storage in our compound. We had happy hour with Donna & Marcel; Bob& Gail.
Monday was gardening and clean up. It rained on and off all day; we’ll be glad when the sun finally decides to show up full time. Happy hour was at Ed & Judy; AL and Dana were also there, they are waiting for their new park model being delivered, from Alberta, sometime today.
Tuesday, Val went to work and for a change, we had a cloudy day!!! I still haven’t received any calls for a job which is a disappointment even though I go see each at least once a week.
Wednesday was...rain, rain, and more rain! I spoke too soon; I got a call from the Provincial Park and have an interview on Friday for a job. I went into town to mail a letter and ordered more wine at U-Brew. I picked up a bottle of wine for Al and Dana as a house warming gift for their new park model and when Val got home, we went over to drop off the wine and get a tour of the place...very nice! It has two bedroom which will be great for their kids (they have two)
Thursday was more of the same weather! Where is summer and the beautiful Interior sunshine????? Well...some of it came out in the afternoon but only for a little while.
I went for my interview at the Provincial Park Friday morning and got a job as ground maintenance staff. It doesn’t pay all that great but will keep me out of trouble for a while and bring extra spending money for next winter. My schedule is Wednesday to Sunday starting the 17th. I got my park uniform, jacket and cap. I haven’t worn a uniform in years so should be interesting.
Saturday was sunny and very warm. We went to Salmon arm to pick up our mail and do a couple of errands then came home. We went out for a Greek Smorg at the S.A. golf club with Donna & Marcel, Bob & Gail and Ron & Teresa. The dinner was delicious and we had a few good laugh even though Marcel learned earlier that his mom of 86 passed away. We came home and relaxed. It was a warm evening.
