May 22 to 31, 2007

We got up on May 22 to a warm and sunny Shuswap day. Packed and left our site with the Medallion for her last trip. We have decided to purchase a new one rather than fixing all the wrongs on this one.
We arrived early in Red Deer, alberta, parked in Festival RV Sales parking lot and hooked up a electrical line they left for us.
Got up the next day to a cloudy and cool day. Went inside only to find out that the rig is not nearly ready to come out. Once again and typical, we got all kinds of excuses. Finally, it came out at 3:30 p.m. It is starting to SNOW!!!! can you believe this. Began moving things over and called it quit around 9 p.m. Tired, we went to bed

Next day the 24th, we woke up a a full fledge snow fall. About 2 inches on the ground. Continued moving things and getting soake and wet, depressed and angry. At one point we were ready to call it quit and wanted our old rig back. Finally finished around 3 p.m. and we left for Dino Park in Drumheller, about 2 hours from here. When we arrived here, there was no snow and a bit warmer. Set up and went to bed at 10 p.m.

We spent the next two days organizing and learning about our new home. Storage below is gigantic but there is a lack of space upstairs.

Saturday, the 26th, we got up early, packed and headed back to Red Deer. Arrived around 11 a.m. and got a few bugs fixed. We had been told they would be available until 5 p.m. Guess what....they went home at 3 p.m. Another disappointment. We will never deal with this outfit again.

We left Red Deer around 4 p.m. and headed for BC. Stopped in Canmore, Alta but the cheapest site we could find was $49. Forget it!!!! Went on to Golden where we stopped at this nice place for $26. fulll hook-up

Next morning, the 27th, I took Tucker for his morning walk and found a dozen Ram and Ewes sitting around and grazing. They were beautiful.
We arrived at our site in the Shuswap around 3 p.m. and set up. Everyone came over to eye our new home.

Monday the 28th, a sunny and warm day, we went to Salmon arm to do some shopping and pick up our mail.

Wednesday, the 30th, we packed and left for Chilliwack. Arrived at Camperland RV park (free) where we will be staying for the next two weeks. Very warm here.

On thurday the 31st, we went and had lunch with Rochelle and made a bunch of appointments for the truck. In the morning, we went to the kids school and attended their award ceremony. Hayley, the youngest one, got an award for the best improved athlete in her group and Vanessa got an award for excellency. What a pair....make one feel so proud.

May 8 to 21, 2007

At last, here I am!!! Not much to report in this time frame as we are now at our site and just settling in and getting ready to go to Red Deer on the 22nd.

We went to our friends in Logan Lake and stayed with the Kirkby's. we had a wonderful time and caught up to all the news. Charlie put on a spread and invited a few of our friends over so we saw everyone of importance but did miss some. Terry and Glenda were also there so it was fun to see them again. They are talking about going to Alaska this year.

On Friday the 9th, we went to Chilliwack and Vancouver. Stayed with Jeffrey in New-Westminster. Visited with the grand-kids and had another wonderful time.

On the 15th we went for our annual check ups. My blood pressure is high so he put me on meds for life with warnings to lay the beer. Too bad. Guess will have to pay heed! Did some shopping in Kamloops the next day and banking.

Today the 17th I woke up with a vicious cold....sore throat and coughing. Jeffrey and his friend, lisa came out to the Shuswap and spent the week-end with us. Hope they didn't catch my cold. We had a nice time though but I was glad they left as I wasn't feeling to par.
Tomorrow, the 22, we leave fro Alberta to pick up our new rig....A 2007 Quantum 355. Will post pictures once I hav ethem

May 1 to 7, 2007

We are in Salmon Arm writing this. It feels wonderful to be home and are now readying ourselves to go back to Red Deer to go pick up our new rig. It will be ready in about two more weeks hopefully, and providing there is no glitches.
This past week has been busy what with getting our site cleaned up, getting everything out of the shed and putting it all in places, catching up with phone calls and finances
Tomorrow we are off to Logan Lake to visit with the Kirkby's and the Tate's and catch up with the news. We are hoping to go to the coast this week-end but have to make some arrangements first.
We are also going through our storage and getting the stuff in there ready to be sold off.

There are a lot of new people around our site now. We met most of them and the place has had a few changes such as contractors and mgmt. Not sure if it is for the better....time will tell.

No new pictures yet but will get some posted soon.

Bye for now and till next time

April 23 to 30, 2007

It's been a while but here I am finally.

Took Kenzie to Calgary to get the suspension checked and possibly repaired....a waste of time. The guy barely looked at it and sid it was a bent axle and I should go hoem to get it fix. STUPID!!!!
Anyway, we parked at WALMART and met our friends Peter and Marg whom we hadn't seen in over two years. Had a wonderful lunch then said our good-byes. after this, we met our other friend Do (Dorothy) and had coffee with her.
Returned to Olds by 7 p.m. a long day,

APRIL 26-27

Loaded the bikes and everything else readying for our departure. Went back to Red Deer to look at a QUANTUM 35.5, 4 slides, and GORGEOUS...Ended up making an offer which was accepted so we are new owners. WOW! More to come on that subject

Marcel's son and his girlfriend came over and we had dinner together. This is also our last day here as we are leaving for home tomorrow.

Left around 11:30, drove south on hwy 2 to Calgary then hwy 1 to B.C. and home.

Arrived at our site in the Shuswap around 10:30 p.m. which made it for a very long day. Parked and went to sleep
