My last day at work was a quiet one albeit lots of clean-up due to campers leaving. I took a few pictures of the park and my duties and have posted them on Picasa Web. Our neighbour, Jack, also got a job at the park doing security so he’s happy about that.
Monday, day off for both of us, we took the car to the garage to have the leaky steering line fixed then we went to Salmon Arm for our mail and some groceries. It was a quick trip in and out. It is Donna & Marcel and Gail & Bob’s anniversaries today so we all went out for dinner at “Friends”, a pub on the water in Blind Bay; Ron and Theresa also joined us as they are out for the week. The food was excellent and we had a very good time. Afterwards, we met at our place for a drink around the “buddy burner”. It consist of a cookie tin with rolled-up corrugated cardboard rolled up and stuff inside then paraffin or wax is melted and poured in the tin until it completely covers the cardboard then you light it and, VOILA, you have an instant little fireplace. We learned that from our friends Glenda & Terry.
Tuesday, I went to Chase to get a part for the cooler then came home and gave a hand to Ron, our neighbour, to built shelves in our rig. We got shelves installed in the bedroom closet, two cupboards; in where the fireplace used to be and the cupboard above the computer desk. Ron did a fantastic job and my help was minimal. We had happy hour together and Val joined us when she got home from work. After dinner, we got a call from our friends Glenda and Terry; they are coming over next Sunday which is a pleasant surprise.
Wednesday, the 30th, was back to the grind. Both Val and I are at worked while Tucker plays the luxurious life of lazing around and harass the neighbours by barking at them as they walk by! GOOD BOY! We stayed home tonight as it was cool and it looked like it was going to rain but didn’t.
Another month gone by!
