well, we got everything done on the Medallion and the truck has had its tranny replaced. Now I have a problem with the transfer case electrical swicth. DOES IT EVER END???????????
On May 6th, we took the Medallin back to Camperland and set up only to find that the converter went kaput. So back to O'Connor to get that replaced on warranty of course.
May 8th, we took the truck to L&D and left it there overnight.
May 9th, tuesday, we picked up the truck around 3 p.m. and got a 3 year warranty on it as part of the price. Went to the kids and said our good-byes as we are leaving tomorow.
May 10th, we left Chwk at 11 a.m. after getting the tranny checked out at L&D. As we got on the Coquihalla, all hell broke loose. Sounded like the tranny was breaking apart but after limping back to Chwk, it was discovered that it may be the electrical switch controlling the transfer case. Decided to leave and get it looked at in Kamloops. We ended up spending the night at Rochelle as we had left the RV in Hope.
May 11
Did more test and after a discussion, we left for home. we arrived in Logan Lake at 3 p.m. after picking up the RV in Hope.
All set up and went to the Kirkbys for happy hour and then to the Tate's for dinner...it was delicious. Watched Survivors at their place.
May 12th,
We have electricity but no water yet so operating on our tank which is full. Took our two rocking chair to the second hand store to be sold. We had bought a lighter brown rocking chair in Chilliwack. Fuel is cheaper here than on the coast whcih is nice. tonight we are going to the Bull Pub for dinner with everyone there, Kirbys, Tates, Dennis and Zhilla,
May 13th,
Relaxed most of the day. It was really cold overnight, minus 5 Celsius (about 28 F)
went to the Lobster Fest at 6 p.m. and a good time was had by all. Joanne and Don were there whcih allowed us to visit for a while. As we left, we got stop by the cops from Merritt and he made me blow.....I reached .04. Told me I was lucky as I would have ended up in town....A bit fanatic....they were watching and stopping everyone trying to leave the Fest.
Anyway, today is Sunday the 14th...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! We are at the Kirkbys who are in Chilliwack for the week-end and are doing our laundry and catching up to all this.
Tomorrow, we headed for our site on the Shuswap Lake. Bye for now!
