OCT 31, SATURDAY; to
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
We were up and away by 9 am on I-5 South! I-5 from here is very straight, monotonous
and boring so we were glad to finally see Sacramento. Further south we stopped for lunch and fuel
then went on to Hwy 120 where we moved East to Hwy 99 south to Merced. We stopped here at an info centre to get
information on Yosemite and Sequoia National Park. From here we headed East on
Hwy 140 to Mariposa and camped at the Fairground RV Park. ($30/night with full
hook-up and WIFI). We will here two
nights. It is sunny and very warm
outside. We actually had the A/C on this
afternoon while driving. The scenery
coming up here was very scenic and awesome.
Rolling hills and wide open grazing fields which reminded us a lot of
Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
