A cold front is coming through right now so it's cold again and overcast. It's supposed to rain tomorrow but sunny on Sunday which is the day we leave for the "Horn" of Texas, near the Mexican border in a small town call Edinburgh.
On FEBRUARY 5, Monday, cloudy,
Tried to connect to the WIFI and still very slow and limited connection. Complained but no one listens or cares, including TANGO INTERNET which is the outfit we are going through.
Went to Corpus Christie in p.m. (only 29 miles from here) and did some shopping for a small bookshelf but no luck. Went to the USS Lexington and that was really interesting. Only paid $10 too (senior rates). Val didn't want to come so she walked the beach with Tucker. I enjoyed the aircraft carrier, it was cool.
Came home to a beautiful sunset and a temp. of 65*F (12*C) Rented 2 movies for the next couple evenings.
FEBRUARY 6, Tuesday, sunny
Got up to a nice sunrise and 10*C Well, everybody got a haircut today so everyone is scratching. Installed the hat rack we bought yesterday, above the mirror by the entrance. Sure nice to see sunshine and the temp went up to 75*F
FEBRUARY 7, Wednesday, sunny
Again a sunny and warm day. Are they here to stay????? Got my Power Chip today for the truck. Paid $299. for it so I read all the info and instructions on it. Looks very simple. Will install it tomorrow. Also downloaded all our latest pictures.
FEBRUARY 8, Thursday, clouds with sun in p,m,
It rained overnight and it is very humid right now @ 9 a.m. Installed the power chip which turned out to be very simple and easy. Took me 15 minutes to do it. We decided to go kayaking the lagoon in Rockport today. We were out for about 2 hours kayaking amongst all the rich house and mingling with the hundreds of wild bird in the Sanctuary
Went to the clubhouse again this morning and had problem with the connection again. Called the 800 number but it turned out to be a futile exercise. I know it's not my computer as I went to Starbucks and tried their system and connected with no problems and it was fast.
I WILL NEVER BUY INTO TANGO INTERNET AGAIN! That's a given.
FEBRUARY 9, Friday, overcast
So here I am writing this in the parking lot where so far I have a good connection. For how long, only God knows. Today we are going to Corpus Christi again to look around some more. Not much else to do on drabby day like this. 2 more days and we leave for southern places and hopefully warmer and sunnier climate.
