Hi again, it's been somewhat stormy here the last two weeks. We've been hit by some heavy winds. ITs' also been cloudy a lot with threats of rain but to no avail. I took and posted some pictures of places we go in our daily life of living here as per a request from my sister Therese. So check them out!
Feb 24 started as a sunny day. It is also Cathy birthday so Linda cooked a chocolat cake. It was a windy day today.
Feb 25 saw us going for a bike ride to town where we had a hot dog and cerveza then onward to the bank to get more pesos.
On the 26th, Sunday, I went golfing with the boys and the girls (Cathy, Val and Linda) went kayaking for the day.
Feb 27th turned out to be a very hot day!! It went to the upper 80's ( 25C) We all went out to Toro's for dinner tonight as Fred and Dorothy are leaving tomorrow. It was an excellent dinner. I tried out a dish call mortar beef which came in a very hot clay bowl with a boiling broth, beef, onions and cactus. It was delicious. It also had other vegetables. A humongous meal which could have been enough for two people.
Feb 28th was another hot day. even hotter than yesterday. Fred and Do left at 8 a.m. Val went to the doctor about her hand. It hurts a lot from the fall.
March first....Another new month! Time is flying by. Very windy today and in the low 90's another sandstorm blew over us. It seems we just get evrrything dusted and more sand/dust lays down. Joys of living in the desert, I guess!? Lee and Jacquie left this morning.
March 2...Trish and Sandy left this morning. The gang is depleting fast. Val, Linda and Cathy went to Guaymas shopping. I made sure that Val left her wallet here with all the credit cards!!! ahahahahahah!
March 4th was Valerie Birthday! Happy Birthday Sweety! Went to "Joey's" for dinner. Unfortunately, I forgot the camera. We watched the sunset with a Pina Colada then on to dinner. It was very good. Came home and sat by the fire.
March 5th was my Birthday. IT started at 6:30 a.m. with a fishing trip where Lynden caught two but neither did Steve or I. Hot daog and beer for lunch and then out to Toro's for dinner as it is also our last meal with Al and Brenda as they are leaving tomorrow. Brenda had made arrangement with the waiters for my birthday so all of sundden, all the lights went out, in came the waiters dressed in cape and a big garbage bag full of balloon and confetti and they sang "Happy Birthday" then broke the bag on my head when all the balloons and confetti came out. It was a total surprise and a lot of fun. Considering I didn't want anything!!!!
March 6...Al and Brenda left at 8 a.m. this morning. Had the truck washed in and out. Very hot today again Mid 90's
March 8th was cloudy and cooler. Also very windy again. A trasnformer blew in the park with a big bang! We were out of power for most of the day. The park is getting emptier by the day. Pretty soon we will be the only ones left here!?????
Added more pictures so check them out
