AUG 18, Thursday
We left around 10:30 a.m. and stopped at South Thompson RV to get our propane line check as there is a loud noise coming from the tanks. It turned out to be a line which was quickly changed and we were on our way. It was very hot across the Coquihalla, reaching 38*C in Merritt but no problems with the truck. In Hope, we took Hwy 7 on the north side of the Fraser River to Harrison Lake. It is shorter and just as fast. We arrived at Glencoe RV and Motel, our home park for the next 3 nights, around 3 p,m. We set up then took a walk around the beach with Tucker. It is cooler here at 22*C but sunny and very windy. Rochelle and Kevin met us here at 6 pm for dinner at the Settler’s Pub next door to us then we had a nice visit at our place. They are tired of all the preps and are looking forward to the end. Even Vanessa, the future bride, is finding all the little decisions to be made, overwhelming. They went home around 10 pm and we hit the sack. IT was a good day overall
